To keep the adverts fresh and to tempt your colleagues to view this page frequently, each will be displayed here until the application closing date or the end of the month after they were inserted if no closing date is given, but if you wish to renew or remove an existing advert, just let us know at the same email address.

SERCO HEALTH CORNWALL

THE GP Out Of Hours SERVICE

After speaking to some of my GP colleagues, I was surprised to hear that some of them were unaware that we are always looking for good GPs for the service. Working out of hours is intensely rewarding. All calls are triaged and everyone you see is actually unwell; many are very unwell. It is what we are trained for.

The DoH has independently benchmarked our service as being in the top quartile of all OOH organisations in the country. We are one of the only healthcare organisations in the South West that has never had a complaint taken to the Ombudsman. Plaudits consistently greatly exceed complaints. Monthly patient satisfaction surveys demonstrate complete satisfaction in 85% of all responses.

In 2010 we saw over 125,000 patients, a number of which wrote to us regarding the excellent service they had received.

We are always willing to talk to GPs who might consider working for us. The optimum patient experience will always be provided by an indigenous GP.

For example, if you would like to “own” a particular shift or group of shifts for 46 weeks of the year, hourly rates can be discussed.

If you would like to explore this further, please telephone Dr Jeremy Mawer, Local Medical Director, on 01872 222400.
